  1. Our wedding was a disaster. My husband and I were both in the army at the time. He and his best man had a falling out 2 weeks before the wedding, my jerk boss was going to give me the time off, but not before running me into the ground the day before. I had to drive 300 miles that morning to get to Ft Hood, and wouldn't you know it, 2 hours before the wedding the post picked that time in all eternity to have a lockdown exercise; no one in, no one out. We had decided to have it on Friday afternoon at 4 when everyone else was at work, so there was a total of 6 of us, including the chaplain, my husband, and me. We had spent nearly $500 on our wedding cake and had to give most of it to the dining hall. We both lived in the barracks and had no freezer to keep the wedding cake for a year later. Then I had to drive all the way back 2 days later and didn't see my husband again for 6 weeks.

We both agreed that if we could go back in time and do it all over again we would have just flown to Vegas, and anyone who wanted to be there could just fly out and join us.

  2. The Avengers wedding song sent shivers down my back! Like at first I was wondering how it would be appropriate for Michelle to walk down the aisle with that song…but man I am glad they aced it

  3. I really find it hard to believe that the musicians were able to pull off improvising the music from Avengers. Perhaps someone had already written it up and gave it to them to play? This is the first video I've seen of these guys, so maybe Garrett did it….I'm freaked out about the amount of money they probably spent on this. I tried to make our wedding simple in the hopes of keeping to a reasonable budget. We had the wedding at our church, we had the reception in the school cafeteria that was right next to the church. The altar flowers I got from the local hardware garden section (potted azaleas) so people could plant them if they wanted. I tried to get the wedding dress at a good budget but that kind of blew up with the alterations etc. We had meat and cheese platters and fruit and cracker platters from the local grocery store. the wedding photographers were cheap but holy god they took awful photos, which I didn't realize until 25 years later. We had an absolutely amazing cake. So probably the budget for ours was about .1% of theirs.

  4. My personal favorite is the use of D&D figurines to represent the wedding party and guests. If I had been brave enough 25 years ago, I would have used Lego people to represent the wedding party in our mock up but I think my then fiance would have called the wedding off. Well done! And hope married life is going well!

  5. Now the food my family might get offended if I got a caterer because my mom grandma sis and others in my family love to cook especially big meals wether it’s thanksgiving or a family dinner especially my mom grandma and sis

  6. Now the one thing I wanna splurge some of the budget on is definitely the cake but I would be nervous as h*ll about getting it there safe and in one piece.

  7. 6:33 I have to agree with Michelle on this one sure I wanna go all out on every detail on the wedding in terms of venue catering seating floral arrangements etc etc etc if I ever one day get married and I do mean IF (keep that in mind) but at the same time I necessarily don’t wanna blow the budget on small details like chairs I mean it’s a freaking chair sure I wanna good chair that’s not gonna break if someone sits in it but not a Gucci designer sitting chair like you get what I’m saying. Also I wanna save money on the budget and go all out on the details that are gonna matter like floral arrangements outfits venue catering and especially the ring etc etc.

  8. before he even said walk down the aile on the avengers theme song i myself was like "well im do it with the avengers theme song" and him saying that made it fell so complete
    AHHH

  9. i'm planning a wedding for next year, and if i had the funds, I would definitely plan it in a week. it's way more complicated than it needs to be!

  10. I planned my wedding in 2 weeks, $3,000 budget, while working 11 hour days 5 days a week. I had so many mouth ulcers from the stress that I could barely speak or eat the day of. We definitely didn’t plan to do all our planning that quickly but we had to get married (no, I wasn’t pregnant lol)

  11. When I heard the avengers theme song my first thought is I want that at my wedding and then I was like wait what if I played that on flute while I was walking down the aisle as my father won’t be able to since he is passed away
